International Women's Day: Inspring Stories from ILASH Family's Amazing #WOMEN

In honor of International Women's Day, we are proud to share inspiring stories and challenges from our ILASH Family's amazing #women #mom #mama #girls who found strength through their journey.

Meet Christine

We are happy to have Christine @christine.fieldhall, an optimist, Genuine, Creative, Spiritual, and Multicultural Mom. Sharing her honest motherhood journey, from her personal stories to useful information and reviews through her blog mummydiaryhk.com & Instagram.

Q1:
I am a mother of two boys, and I am an influencer and content creator.

Q2:
I use mascara only when I need to. I don't wear makeup every day, only if I am in front of the camera, or meeting up with someone. Otherwise I prefer going au naturel.

Q3:
The one biggest issue women my age are facing today is embracing aging. I am 39, turning 40 this year, and that is a big milestone. I am entering into a new bracket, and a new stage in my life. Soon I will no longer be able to say I am in my 30s, I will have to say I am 40, and that is a big adjustment, but mentally and physically.

Q4:
I respect many women in my life, but the woman that inspired me most last year is Luisa Dunn (@thesilverlinig_1970) , because I love how she embraces aging. How she chooses to age with grace and elegance, and going grey naturally. So many women her age go overboard trying to stay youthful and as a result look unnatural and lose their natural beauty in the process. She inspires me, because she shows us that aging is not the enemy but a gift, and that we can all age beautifully.

Q5:
My advice to my younger self will be love yourself more, for no one will be able to love you until you love yourself.
Accept yourself for your flaws for they are what makes you unique. Forgive yourself for your mistakes, for they are not mistakes but lessons to be learnt. Embrace life, even when it is not comfortable, because it is through different experiences that we truly grow as a person. And never think you are too old to learn or try something new, because if you never try, you will never know what you can achieve.

Meet Jane

We are happy to have Jane @jane_surin, a fun, creative and lovely mother of two. Jane loves spending quality time with her children, at the same time capturing and sharing their beautiful moments through Instagram.

Q1:
I am a mother above all to two beautiful children. I’m also a social media personality who does content creation while juggling many other things in life.

Q2:
I NEVER use mascara. I realized over the years that the chemicals it contains just thinned my lashes badly.

Q3:
The one biggest issue women my age are facing today is epressure of all sorts. We are expected to perform our duties as well as our peers because there’s a lot of unrealistic expectations portrayed on the internet. The internet has its pros and cons and I just wish that everyone could understand that life is already so hard and we’re all in this together. Let’s just be kinder to one another.

Q4:
I respect many women in my life, but the woman that inspired me most last year is myself actually, because I have had tons of hardship after hardship thrown at me over the years, yet my resilience and perseverance has triumphed it all. Proud to still be standing here today despite all I’ve been through.

Q5:
My advice to my younger self. l wish I was a lot kinder to my younger self and I wish I didn’t put everyone’s needs above my own. I also wish that I “enjoyed life more”. Life isn’t just all about working non stop. Now that I’m older I’m starting to do everything which I didn’t back then. It’s never too late to start loving yourself.

Q2:
To prepare myself for a nice dinner/ party, i would spend time on my makeup and hair to make sure I look my best!

Q3:
Women's day this year is a meaningful day for me and my friends to celebrate women and our achievements, capability and individuality.

Q4:
I respect many women in my life, but the woman that inspired me most last year is Taylor Swift, because her latest album is freaking lit and touched my heart.

Q5:
My advice to my younger self is to believe in yourself and do everything to the best of your ability! Believe that things are meant to be!
